Joyce has trained extensively in music and has traveled the world singing in nations as far as Zimbabwe Africa--Japan ---Australia, the Philippines, china and other nations . She has traveled to Europe and traversed the the US from Hawaii to New York expressing the beauty of music in song, instruments and even dance . Her gospel journey began at the age of 6 in the Mt Sinai Baptist church Children's choir. Her mother had a passion for music and had her trained classically in voice, flute and piano. She has played flute in the community symphony orchestra (Carson Dominguez Symphony Orchestra). and also in marching bands throughout her formative teenage and college years. Her greatest joy today is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ through music, worship, song and dance.
Joyce is a leader in song and praise and worship. --In Los Angeles's skid row she lead Praise and worship team of local residents of the area as a part of dramastage Qumran ---which visited churches, the fire station, USC, recovery homes and the like. The members were mostly those who were reclaiming their gifts as they built their lives coming out of homelessness. She has lead groups of veterans from the Greater Los Angeles VA healthcare system in Christmas caroling, talent shows, and quarterly services of remembrance for fallen veterans.
She has been a lead vocalist for the West Angeles church of God in Christ, The Knox Presbyterian Church of Ladera Heights,. the Wrecking Crew Christ Holiness church of South Central LA, the Life and Light Christian Center in Downey through Celebrate Recovery.
In her earlier career she has been a big band lead vocalist, sang numerous commercial,TV and radio ads, along with having sung background vocals for award winning country, jazz and R&B artist such as Stevie Wonder and others on major recording labels.
The "joy of the Lord is her strength." She says that it is exciting to do things for the Lord and His glory, to make a difference in the lives of His people.
